Allen & Heath ZED16FX 16 Channel Mixer
A flexible mixer for when you need to step it up from a basic 1 or 2 microphone system, but still don't need a full-blown concert console. With nice long-throw faders, 10 mono channels and 3 stereo channels, it's easily portable - and with the additionally available rack-ears, slots perfectly at the top of a wheel-in-wheel-out rack, if that's what you're looking for.

The ever-popular Ultra DI includes 1/4" unbalanced and XLR input, with balanced XLR output and 1/4" link. Includes -20 and -40dB pads plus ground lift switch. Operates on either 9V battery or +48V phantom power.

Shure SM58 Wired Handheld Microphones
The most recognised microphone on both stage and music video clips today was a long time in the making. Best suited for stage vocals, but will work for speech and a variety of instruments.
