21-Fold Switched AC/DC PDU
The Expert Power Control 8291-1 is a network-compatible power distribution unit that has 21 power ports with different power supply voltages on the back. The connected loads can be switched on or off as required and the total power consumption can be monitored, making the PDU a must-have in AV and IT installations, as well as small data centers.
The power ports of the Expert Power Control 8291-1 can each be switched separately via a web interface, serial interface, SNMP or the buttons on the device. Safety is a top priority: Each DC power port is protected with its own eFuse, so that short circuits in connected devices have no effect on other loads. Furthermore, a type 3 overvoltage protection is integrated and prevents damage to the device and connected loads. Up to 21 AV and IT devices can be connected in total. The special feature: Thanks to the integrated power supply, AC and DC consumers with different voltages and connection types can be supplied, measured and controlled (PCs, servers, monitors, amplifiers, routers, NAS, external drives, etc.). Another advantage: The integrated industrial power supply in the Expert Power Control 8291-1 eliminates the need for plug-in power supplies for the connected loads.
The Expert Power Control 8291-1 supports SNMPv3, SSL, SSH and IPv6, as well as Telnet, Radius and Modbus TCP. Metereing of a wide range of electrical variables enables the user to identify and exploit power saving potential in IT environment. In addition, the user receives warning messages when fault currents occur (residual current measurement type A). This enables preventive maintenance measures to be taken even before downtimes occur.

- Current peaks due to increased inrush currents are automatically prevented by sequential switch-on with a latency of 1 second
