Part of our S Series of ultra-high-performance home theater speakers, the Black S8T Studio Monitor Tri-pole speaker is a remarkable, compact and versatile speaker for rear surround sound that fills in the sonic gaps of a high-fidelity surround sound system.

Combining OSD Audio’s unique and exclusive tripole technology, the S8T includes a direct-speaker (front-mounted drivers) with a dipole speaker (side-mounted drivers) in a compact enclosure that produces incredibly immersive and soul-fulfilling sound. There are many features that make this surround speaker unique including an 8” long-wood fiber inter-thread woofer cone that resonates effortlessly with low and mid- frequency sound as well as three silk dome tweeters to cover all the high-end frequencies so you’ll hear discrete brass and high notes like you never heard before.

The S8T’s proprietary crossover network provides extraordinarily well-orchestrated frequency distribution across a broad listening area with superior imaging and sound quality. Gold-plated speaker terminals ensure the highest signal transfer, and our ST8 is capable of handling 250W of power.

Sonically-neutral Cabinet

All speakers in the Black S series have a sonically neutral cabinet designed for a stable, resonance-free platform for the custom drivers. In other words, the cabinet “disappears” when the music or movie begins so all you hear is a precise soundstage, deep and well controlled bass, natural mids and high frequencies and an incredibly realistic emotional impact.
